Coast Guard E No E Device Mini-Ribbon

Instituted: 1990 Criteria: Awarded to U.S. Coast Guard ships and cutters which earn the overall operational readiness efficiency award Devices: Gold, Silver Star The Coast Guard “E” Ribbon was authorized by the Coast Guard Commandant on September 25, 1990. It is awarded by area commanders to provide visible recognition for personnel of cutters earning the overall operational readiness “E” award during Refresher Training. All personnel serving aboard their unit for more than 50 percent of the period during which it undergoes Refresher Training are eligible for the “E” Ribbon. Additional awards are denoted by 5/16 inch diameter gold and silver stars.
