This Cavalry Pin is a combat infantryman-style badge that is an unofficial military-style pin. The cavalry insignia displays two crossed sabers in scabbards, cutting edge up, 11/16th inch in height with a gold finish. Comes with a 2 pin clutch backing to make sure the badge says securely on your uniform. This regulation size badge is meant to be worn on uniform, but could also be worn on sports jackets for formal events or displayed in your shadow box. The cavalry insignia was adopted in 1851 and officers and service members that are assigned to cavalry regiments, cavalry squadrons, or separate cavalry troops are required to wear the cavalry insignia assigned by their major Army commander.
