Mounting your Marine Corps Medals for the annual Marine Corps Ball is a huge deal for us, we share the excitement you have of getting your uniform together and updating or re-purchasing mounted medal racks. We understand the importance and timeliness it requires and will always work with you to make sure you have your medals before the big night.

How Your Medals are Mounted

We have taken the time and dedication to build our new online medal rack builder to be perfect down to the last detail including staggered mounting and order of precedence for multi-branch service members. Select your current branch of service, the size medals you want, and the medallion’s finish, which is standard or anodized.

Building Your Rack

When selecting your medals for your rack, you don’t have to worry about selecting them in order of precedence, that’s our job. When you use our online medals rack builder the medals are automatically set in order of precedence, so you have one less thing to worry about. If you forget a medal, it’s no problem. If you select your National Defense Service medal last it will be in the correct order when you view your rack.

Even if you served in a branch prior to the Marine Corps and need multi-service medals, we are already one step ahead. Our medal rack builder is fully integrated to recognize multi-branch medal racks, so you don’t have to worry about choosing the order of precedence.

Adding your attachments to your Marine medals are now easier than ever. when selecting your medal, press “Configure Medal” below the image of your medal and from there you are able to allow any attachments your branch allows and as many as you need.

Before your rack gets sent to our mounting department, you are able to preview your achievements and make any final adjustments. Once you submit your order, your Marine medals rack is off to our mounting department.

A lot of Marines earn “Ribbon Only” awards that are worn in tandem with their mounted medals on their uniforms. The ribbon only awards are included in the online mounting process as well as if you call and get your awards made.

If you want a more personable approach to building your medal rack, our Military Awards Specialists are basically a walking, living, breathing medal rack builder. They will help you determine how many bronze stars you need on your Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal as well as your National Defense Service Medal.

Your mounted medals are mounted with a pin clutch backing that we have been using for decades and will withstand the test of time No matter how impressive your mounted medals are, they’ll look perfect and won’t move an inch on your uniform.

Military Medal Mounting Process

At Medals of America, we take the time to carefully and expertly craft your medals starting from the ribbons and medallions designed by the Institute of Heraldry. Every medal has a different length drape it hangs from, and we measure twice, cut once so every medal is absolutely perfect and holds up to our standards and yours.

Once the ribbons are cut the medallions are placed on each ribbon and clasped together, every medal is mounted in order of precedence and following your branch’s regulations. For Marines, the number of medals determines how many medals are mounted per row and how many rows each rack has.

The medals are measured and mounted evenly and perfectly and the bottom of the medallions are evenly. The ribbon awards are worn on the right breast on the uniform with the mounted medals on the left breast.

Finals Steps

After your medals are expertly and carefully mounted, they are quality checked by our veteran staff of Military Awards Specialists. Each medal is inspected for precedence, that all awards are present and on the correct medal, and there are no flaws in the medallion.

Each medal set is signed off as good to go and is sent to be vacuum sealed and packed to be sent to you. Did we just say “vacuum sealed”?! We sure did!

Every set of medals, full size or miniature, is vacuum sealed nice and tight, so your medals don’t jangle and bang around in the delivery process. We wouldn’t call ourselves the best in the business if we jeopardize the integrity of your mounted medals during delivery. Medallions are heavy, and we all know cross-country delivery isn’t a smooth ride, so we are taking extra steps  to guarantee that your medals look as pristine in your hands and on your uniform as they do the second after we mount them.
