Chief Petty Officer Patternmaker Rating is an official issue of the United States Navy. Before being dismantled a Patternmaker would create patterns and blueprints for casting broken parts. The Navy Rate you receive will be Petty Officer 1st Class and you will need to cut the rank to make 2nd or 3rd class. Rating was established in 1948 from ratings wearing the Carpenter’s Mate mark, then disestablished in 1997 and converted to Hull Maintenance Technician. This official issue US Navy rank displays a wooden jack plane, facing front. Has a gold on blue finish which indicates more than 12 years of service being regulation size and uniform ready. Can be easily sewed onto any official United States Navy uniform like ceremonial dress blue. Chief Petty Officer Patternmaker Rating is 100 percent made and handled in the USA.
