Army Service Ribbon
Criteria: Awarded for successful completion of initial entry training. It is retroactive for completion prior to 1981 for only those who had an active status as of that date.
The Army Service ribbon was established on April 10, 1981 by the Secretary of the Army and is awarded to members of the Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard for successful completion of initial-entry training.
