This Army Air Defense Artillery Officer badge is an official issue and ready to be worn on your uniform. The Army Air Defense branch insignia is a missile surmounting two crossed field guns in gold-colored metal. There is two-pin clutch backing on the badge to securely place your insignia on your official US Army uniform. On 20 June 1968, Air Defense Artillery was established as a basic branch of the Army and on 1 December 1968, the ADA branch was authorized to retain the former Artillery insignia, crossed field guns with missiles. This badge is meant for uniforms but would look good on formal attire and could be displayed in a shadow box. The Army Air Defense Artillery Officer badge is 100 percent made and handled in the USA.
