Coming into Marine tradition instituted in 1945 and replaced to current status in 1974 the Marine Corps Aerial Navigator badge began being awarded to Marine officers and enlisted personnel. Bronze, gold-plated finish metal pin that measures at 2 ¾ inches is a badge awarded to Marine officers that have completed an appropriate course of instruction as prescribed by the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) manual. Hanging by pin backing displays two pistols connected by wings and shows the completion as an aerial navigator after completion of course by Military Occupational Specialty manual.
