The Navy Reserve Ribbon is awarded to members of the Naval Reserve upon completion of ten years of service in the Naval Reserve Force, National Naval Volunteers, or in any Federally recognized naval militia force in either active or in-active status. This ribbon was instituted in 1938 and then was discontinued on 12 September 1958. Even though these ribbons are no longer active, they could still be worn on the uniform if earned during that time period or displayed in a shadow box. These ribbons are made in the USA by US Veterans. All ribbons meet government standards and are military-approved. The Navy Reserve Ribbons are unmounted and holding bars are sold separately.
