The Army Glider Badge was approved in 1944 for WWII personnel who were assigned to a glider or airborne unit, as well as those who successfully completed training at the Airborne Department of the Infantry. This badge displays a glider superimposed on a pair of upward curving wings, all in a distinguished silver oxide finish. This badge is regulation size (1 ½ inches wide), 100% Made in the USA, and backed with two pins for secure attachment. While this badge is no longer awarded, this badge would make a great addition to a personalized Medals of America shadow box for a WWII veteran.
