Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Ribbon

The Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Ribbon is officially hallmarked by the U.S. Institute of Heraldry. This ribbon is awarded for duty in a deployed status and participation in designated anti-terrorism operations for a period of either 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days of duty. In June of 2005, the GWOTEM was discontinued for service within Iraq and Afghanistan, with such service now being recognized with the Iraq Campaign Medal and Afghanistan Campaign Medal. Personnel who received the GWOTEM for previous service in these two regions may elect to exchange the GWOTEM or retain the original decoration. Can be awarded for different kinds of service and worn on official uniforms with a bronze star device if you qualify. The ribbon comes in a multicolored pattern of alternating stripes throughout. Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. All ribbons of the US Military are made in the USA. Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar. To purchase this ribbon for yourself or a family member's shadow box, or display case, we require a DD-214 or other valid proof that this medal was honorably awarded.
