The Air Medal Ribbon is awarded to any member of the U.S. Armed Forces who distinguished themselves by heroism, outstanding achievement, or by meritorious service while participating in aerial flight. The criteria include heroic actions or meritorious service while participating in aerial flight, but not of a degree that would justify an award of the Distinguished Flying Cross. This ribbon is worn on uniform with Army: Bronze "V", bronze numerals; Air Force: Bronze, Silver Oak Leaf Clusters; Navy/Marine Corps: Bronze Letter "V", bronze numerals, Bronze Star, Gold, Silver Star; Coast Guard: Gold, Silver Star devices. All ribbons are made with the highest government standards and are US Military approved. Air Medal Ribbons are unmounted and do not come with a holding bar.
