Air Force Airman First Class Stripes
CLOTH AIR FORCE AIRMAN FIRST CLASS STRIPES.
Current style with bright silver stripes. Sold in pairs. Has 2 stripes and a star.
Pay grade was and is currently E-3. Older version which we do not carry had the same stripe design but the stripes were a dull gray instead of the bright white (silver) that have been in use since 1991.
AIR FORCE AIRMAN FIRST CLASS METAL RANK
This a pair of metal rank insignia that is described as "2 stripes and a star in the center." Approximately 1" in size. Prior to 1 Oct 1967, this rank was called Airman Second Class.
Pay grade was and is E-3.
AIR FORCE AIRMAN 1ST CLASS METAL RANK
Sold in pairs. This style of rank was in use by the Air Force between 1975 and 1991. It is described as "2 stripes and NO star." 975 and 1991. Approximately 1" in size. (While the metal rank looks like no star, on the cloth rank, it would have been a blue star).
Pay grade was E-3.
